the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
We’ve all heard the common Atheist phrase, “Reading The Bible will make you an Atheist.” But I beg to differ, not thinking will make you an Atheist, The Bible tells us in Romans 1:20 that “God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” It says that everyone is without excuse before God, no matter what Idolatry they’ve committed, or lie they’ve told, when they stand before God on Judgement Day, where our every wandering thought will be judged we can not say, “Lord, there was never any sign you were there…” Romans 1 is a promise from God, that He will always be here, even when He feels far away from us, He is there.
God gives us promise through His most Holy Word. But God’s Word is more then a promise, it is Truth, I mean think about it? 44 men were used as pens to write God’s eternal Truths to His children, they were from a handful of different countries, in times of war and peace. Some of it was written as alagory, some as literal, such as differing authos would, compare the writings of Dr. Suess and C.S. Lewis, both have different writing styles, God used the style of the Bible authors to speak people from every background. Besides for being written in three different languages, The Bible harmoniously fits together perfectly in God’s message to humanity. It has transcended thousands of years and has never become stale, and why is that? Because “God’s Word is written on our hearts.” (Romans 2:15)
God’s Promises are written on our sinful hearts? Have you ever thought about it? The fact that our at birth we know right from wrong? The power of the conscience can make a man confess to any committed crime, depending on the hardness of the heart. You want proof? Go to the top and read the opening at the top of this blog, who do you think it is about? Most (and I’m sure you will too) would say Jesus (even without the slight tipping off by the Christian blog you’re reading.) That passage is actually Isaiah 53:5-6 written several hundred years before Jesus came into the Earth to bear our punishment.
This is the Divine Signature of God’s Word, fulfilled prophecy! Jesus, during His lifetime, He fulfilled over 300 prophecies that were written about Him hundreds to even thousands years before! For those convinced He had a check list, I urge you too read Psalm 22:18 “They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.” and Matthew 27:35 “When they had crucified him [Jesus], they divided up his clothes by casting lots.” When they crucified Him, Jesus could have done nothing about the casting of lots, all He could do was watch the prophecy fullfill itself through Him.
I write this too you, because not all Biblical Prophecy has come to pass, some is yet to be completed, Jesus has yet to return, will you be ready? Jesus died, rose again, and is returning for the people of this fallen world, His bride, the Church. The church is not about the building its about the people, sheep in flock, in worship with to there Savior, and there redeemer and it’s a beautiful thing once you tear away the goats. It’s all laid out in Matthew 25, that those who have trusted in Jesus and Repented (turned) from there sins, will be taken into eternal glory, Heaven. This is called Salvation. And this is God’s greatest promise, that He would one day send a Messiah to bear the sins of all History, so that we might have fellowship with the Father.
God’s message through the Bible isn’t about going into a church, it’s God’s sign of His love for us! “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) God just wants to know You. He’s made you thousands of promises in your life, and He will keep them. And though He can’t guarantee you a wonderful life in this fallen creation, He can give you a promise, eternity. Through Christ and Christ alone is salvation, Repent and trust in Him and know that God is always faithful and His promises are True. Put faith in what God is calling you too in your life, whether it is salvation, to a new job, in life, because He leaves His signature on everything He makes, on our hearts and in our lives.
